continual safety education, employee
involvement, training, and internal controls,
Delta strives to be an industry leader in
safety culture.
On October 30, 2014, Ric Neubert (President),
Don Rosenbarger (Senior VP of Operations),
and Jerry Farnham (Plants & Equipment
Manager) visited several locations in Arkansas
to remind crews to focus on safe habits – at
home and at work.

SOUTHERN ILLINOIS STONE UNDERGO CHANGES FOR SUCCESS
This secondary crusher project involves
removing two aging Stedman crushers and
replacing them with one larger Hazmag crusher.
Because the Hazmag crusher is the same
model as the primary crusher, the quarry will
benefit by utilizing interchangeable wear parts,
thereby increasing production of stone. Less
time is needed to change parts, improving
productivity and reducing downtime. The
project includes demolition and removal of
three conveyors to be replaced with one. The
structure and concrete foundations will be
removed and replaced with new structures
and concrete. Most of the work was
contracted, with assistance being provided by
the SIS employees.
During the third quarter, Southern Illinois Stone
