2017 Fall Workshop

It was the grand opening for the Jacksonville location of Delta’ s Department Store on Saturday, August 19. The community and 156 sorors have been eagerly waiting to see what each section of the store has to offer. Our employee orientation began with an invigorating welcome. Chaplain Monica Hardy rendered an inspirational message about“ The Help” being someone who serves, supports and nourishes with each action requiring temperance and patience. These qualities are the goals of the store associates.
The Jacksonville Alumnae Chapter is known for providing innovative and informative programs along with exciting events. This inspired the motto for the 2017-2018 sororal year Where Excellent Service is Our Priority! With the theme of Delta’ s Department Store and our members as the employees, we intend to serve our constituents with Passion and Purpose. President Veronica Tutt’ s“ Keeping it Real” session with impromptu questions and answers was an invited new edition to the workshop. The membership committee led by First Vice President Aurelia Williams blessed all attendees with special sisterly survival kits filled with lots of love and compassion. Goals were laid out by the program planning and development chair that included positive engagement by sorors, being good stewards of each other’ s time, and ensuring impactful programming for our community. We just ask for your presence and participation with that good ole Delta spirit.
