This biennial report recognizes our past achievements while highlighting the importance of our legacy programs and planning for our future . Seeing these old photos and our 50 year timeline is a great reminder of our rich past and continued focus on growing and improving our programs , reaching new audiences , preserving critical lands , and advocating for open space and environmental issues .

Christine Carlisle Odom President , Board of Directors , 2014 – 2016
Following our longstanding tradition of planning for the future , we implemented our new strategic plan in 2015 aimed at expanding our outreach and creating new opportunities to connect people to nature , while remaining true to our core mission of educating , conserving , and advocating to improve our environment . Our strength at Delaware Nature Society has always been how we connect and engage people with nature . All the names of volunteers , board , staff , and donors listed here recognizes the generous contributions of thousands of people who help us to achieve our mission every day .
With a critically important vision to ensure a healthy and sustainable environment for people and wildlife , we recognize we cannot accomplish this alone . Getting more people involved and inspiring them to take action to improve our environment is perhaps our best chance at preserving and protecting our natural resources and the places we love in Delaware and beyond . For that , we thank you , and all of our partners who have helped us these past two years , and the many who have been with us since the start . We wouldn ’ t be where we are today without your generous support .
Together , we are making a difference today , and for future generations .
