Lets talk tea and thadi\r\n\r\nBy Varun Jain\r\n\r\nIf you like tea and maggi, Thadi is the place to be. When you enter Thadi Lane, you’ll notice Shivan and Naresh are upstairs, you’re going to head for the lane next to the stairs. The lane is so small that you might wonder if you’re lost, and might be worried you should turn back and head for some other roadside thadi? Shake it off. I promise it’s worth following the signs with Thadi’s name. This is not an experience you’ll want to miss. You will definitely love it. \r\nThadi lives up to the name. Lots of small village stools, wooden furniture, and low floor sitting arrangements for the young at heart fill the stand with an authentic, almost magical ambience you wouldn’t have expected in such a hidden hideaway. The breathtaking vistas of Hauz Khas lake from Thadi’s are a wonderful backdrop to a heart warming meal. The only eyesore is the grafitti, but even that lends a certain charm to the humble décor. \r\nThadi’s fare may be basic, but there is something special about the care which goes into it. The Masala Tea and Cheese Maggi is not to be missed. In fact, the Cheese Maggi was so delicious I couldn’t help but to order two! \r\nThadi’s is best enjoyed from 4:00 PM till 7.30 PM while it still light out. The tea, the maggi, and the view make Thadi’s a spot to mark on your map. It’s great for a romantic date, and it’s a great group outing too. \r\nGo! Enjoy the view. Taste the fabulous fare and tell us all about it! \r\n\r\nThadi Cafe, Hauz Khas Village, New Delhi 16\r\n
