Fourth Of July
This year ’ s Delano Fourth of July Celebration will take place Friday , July 1 through Monday , July 4 , 2022 . The event is held at Central Park , 650 River Street North . Upto-date information on the event can be found online at www . delano4th . com .
Entertainment
Those who attend this year ’ s celebration will be able to enjoy thirteen bands , circus acts , magic shows and much more ! The popular University of Minnesota Raptor Center show kicks things off on Friday along with the Stars and Stripes Baseball Tournament , Delano Ambassador Coronation , Cribbage Tournament at the Senior Center , and beer tasting in the afternoon . Saturday will include a CrossFit competition , kiddie parade , kiddie pedal pull , fi reman ’ s waterball tournament and the bean bag tournament . Sunday includes an Ecumenical Worship Service in the main tent along with a Frisbee / Disc golf tournament , and sidewalk chalk competition . The fi nal day of the event , Monday , kicks off with the 5k run followed by the parade and fi reworks that night . As always , all the concerts and entertainment listed above , is free to the public .
Carnival
GoldStar Amusements will be returning once again to this year ’ s celebration . A family operated business , Gold- Star Amusements has a rich history in the carnival industry and has been providing carnival rides and games to our celebration for over 20 years . Parade
You can ’ t miss Minnesota ’ s Oldest and Largest Fourth of July Parade ! The parade will take place on Sunday , July 4th starting at 10:30 a . m . starting at Central Park , following River Street , Railroad Avenue , 2nd Street North and Elm Avenue . If you ’ re interested in participating in this year ’ s parade , you can register online .
Fireworks
Every year the amazing 27-minute fi reworks show caps off the Delano Fourth of July Celebration ! On Sunday , July 4th at 10:30 p . m ., fi nd your spot and stake a claim on the dike near Central Park . Admission is free . With the great work of Northern Lighter Pyrotechnics , be prepared to be astonished !
Fourth of July Committee
The Fourth of July event is organized by the Fourth of July Committee . This committee consists of representatives of local community organizations ; the Delano Athletic Club , Delano American Legion , Delano Boy Scouts , Delano Lion ’ s Club , Delano Sportsman ’ s Club , and the Velocity Swim Club .
