Delano Area Chamber Of Commerce

Submitted by the Delano Area Chamber of Commerce
‘ Equipping members to thrive in our business community ’
The Delano Area Chamber of Commerce is a member-driven organization , formed to support the Delano business community . It is governed by a board of directors made up of nine volunteer businesspeople and staffed by a part-time executive director . DACC members range from small , occasional sales boutiques to the largest businesses and employers in Delano . Local non-profit organizations are also represented .
As the DACC looks ahead to 2022 , our efforts will focus on economic recovery . Not just surviving the pandemic , our mission of equipping members to THRIVE in our business community has never been more relevant . Our Economic Development Committee said it well as they formed their vision statement to read , “ Facilitating the communication and distribution of information for the growth , retention , and expansion of the Delano business community .”
The DACC continues to advocate for the West Metro Business Park as the community continues to experience growth . New businesses are welcomed to the area by the DACC Ambassadors .
Many of our events have become a Delano tradition , such as The 32nd Community Expo , Taste of Delano , the Halloween Business Trick or Treat , as well as the Christmas Tree Lighting in Downtown Delano . The annual banquet will celebrate the 2022 Business of the Year : LuLu ’ s Retail Therapy . Annual banquet is Saturday , April 9 , 2022 with happy hour at 6 pm and dinner served at 7 pm . Tickets are available at the Chamber office .
The DACC is fortunate to have 133 active members . The Chamber has six committees – business development , economic development , membership , government affairs , ambassadors , and a task force . The strongest benefit members receive is not something tangible , it is the strong relationships and trust built among the business community . These relationships are built at our Business After Hours Events and general meetings . Relationships are built with elected officials through our “ State of ” addresses hosted at these General Meetings and at Candidate Forums hosted by the Government Affairs Committee .
Other Chamber benefits include a red highlighted entry in this directory , listing on the chamber ’ s website directory , promotion on the DACC Facebook Page , referrals from the Chamber office , networking events , renting the Chamber sign , sponsorship opportunities at any chamber-coordinated community event , and more . The DACC is a member of the Minnesota Better Business Bureau and the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce , both which provide members with more benefits and training opportunities for chamber staff and volunteers .
Regular general membership meetings are the third Thursday of each month at noon . For the location of the next meeting , call ( 763 ) 972-6756 , or email dacc @ delanochamber . com . Other events and meetings are posted on the website and communicated to members through e-mail and social media .
