She is American Colleges and University Educator ( ACUE ) certified in Effective Instruction , Apple Teacher certified , certified in Advanced Online Teaching , recipient of Master Teacher and Distinguished Educator awards . She has served on multiple college committees ; Faculty Senate , Center for Research , Education and Teaching Excellence ( CREATE ) Advisory Board , Institutional Review Board ( IRB ), Faculty hiring committees , and is currently serving on the Social Justice and Inclusion ( SJI ) committee , Accessibility Interest Group ( AIG ), Inclusion , Diversity , Equity and Accessibility ( IDEA ) task force and serves on Diversity , Equity and Inclusion ( DEI ) and Multimedia Educational Resource for Teaching and Online Learning ( MERLOT ) Advisory Boards . In addition , she has facilitated a faculty interest group ( FIG ) on engaging pedagogies for 5 years . She is passionate about transformative education and promoting transformative learning experiences .
Eric Kyle ’ s teaching , scholarship , and service are primarily focused at the intersection of the following areas : 1 ) Faculty development , 2 ) Peace education , and 3 ) Teaching Religion . Having served as a professional educator since 2001 , his passions continue to focus on educational theories and practices that transform students and their communities to be more peaceful , just , and inclusive . Before coming to UCO , Eric worked at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago , Nebraska Methodist College , and the College of Saint Mary . At these various institutions , Eric served as director of contextual education , service learning , and faculty development and he has taught courses on course development methods , nonviolent peacebuilding , and world religions . In addition , Eric has worked with faculty and institutions in India and Iraq to help improve their educational systems .

The identity-based clubs at GMercyU have proven successful in creating , sustaining , and empowering communities for diverse student voices in recent years . Student leaders involved with these groups will share their thoughts on leadership , advocacy , creating impact , and how our institution helps encourage their success . In this panel session , attendees will also obtain insight into building and mentoring diverse voices and communities at their institution or in their classroom .
