The higher education landscape has changed hugely over the last few years , with more and more students now choosing to come to college to study for their higher education qualifications , including pathways towards a university degree . We ’ re delighted to be able to offer a full suite of options to help you find the best route to meet your needs .
Colleges now deliver around a quarter of all higher education courses in Scotland , with many students now choosing to enrol on HNC or HND programmes . At Fife College , we offer around 100 higher education programmes , across a wide range of subject areas . The benefits of studying locally are compelling – flexibility , affordability , great facilities and links with local industry to name just a few .
We also offer you a stepping stone to a degree qualification . Through our partnerships with universities across the country , we offer over 550 defined routes mapping HNC / HND qualifications into degree courses which means you can study locally , gain a qualification for each year of study , and then choose to progress into second year of a degree course at university ( with an HNC qualification ) or third year ( with an HND qualification ). In some subjects there is even the option to complete a full university awarded degree without leaving your Fife College campus .
