The nature of security threats in Thailand includes potential political unrest, occasional border disputes,
domestic terrorist and separatist group activities in the troubled southern provinces, natural disasters, human
smuggling and illicit drug trafficking. All will result in the increasing demand for modern internal security
equipment. The upgrading of border security and demand for effective immigration control at all airports, bus
terminals and sea ports has also fueled the need for equipment such as biometrics, fixed surveillance devices,
and unmanned aerial vehicles.
