Coral reefs with eels, rays and sharks, tide Pools filled with anemones and kelps and Ohio pond fish
and mussels feed the art. Flora, fauna and ecological relationships inform much of my sculpture work in
bronze, copper, ceramic and glass. A childhood spent in rural coastal Florida, adult life in intimate contact
with nature in a rural Ohio area with a pond and traveling to coastal areas for immersion in marine
environments has fed my art for many years. The work that develops from these experiences may be
representational or abstract but is always filled with lively movement, sensuous forms and textural contrasts.
A retired professor at Ohio Northern University, Judith Greavu holds an M.F.A. degree in painting from
Bowling Green State University and a B.S. degree in art education from Ball State University and has an
extensive exhibition record. Presenting from Michigan to Florida and throughout Ohio, she recently
completed a major retrospective exhibit at ArtSpace/Lima.
