Rondell Crier, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, was recognized at a
young age as an emerging artist in his community. He has served as
creative director of Young Aspirations Young Artists (YAYA), a youth
arts organization in his hometown.
Crier’s practice revolves around creativity as a means to support and
inspire communities. Crier continues to practice art through personal
and group projects utilizing a variety of repurposed materials, including
wood, stone, metal, fabric, video, and graphics. He challenges himself
to find ways to “use materials to create artwork that speaks its own
language.”
