Issue Number 10 | December 2020
We are delighted to have Eva Mackinnon ( S2 ) join the School Student News Team this year – she came up with the great idea of interviewing members of the Marr College staff to help students get to know their teachers better . She thought this would be especially helpful for new members of staff .
Introducing Mrs Richard !
Mrs Richard is the next teacher in my unit of Interviewing Teachers . I thought it would be nice to interview Mrs Richard as she is French ! She is from the capital of France , Paris , and moved to Scotland in 1998 , so she has been living here for 22 years .
Mrs Richard loves teaching here at Marr and has been teaching for 4 years at Marr . She loves the pupils , and she thinks the building is beautiful- I think everyone can agree with that ! In her spare time , Madame Richard likes to play football and DIY .
As I said in my previous interview , Mrs Richard is good friends with art and design teacher Mrs Morton . Merci for reading !
Introducing Miss Anastasiadou
On the 19th of November , I interviewed the newest member of the English department , Miss E Anastasiadou ( isn ’ t it a lovely name ?!) Miss Anastasiadou was born and raised in Greece , but came to Scotland 3 years ago to study to become a primary school teacher .
Before she came to Marr College as a supply teacher as Mr Imbur is sick , she taught in many South Ayrshire schools . She loves the pupils and staff here at Marr and feels so welcomed by everyone . In her spare time , she likes to go to the gym ( pre COVID ) and read books . Coronavirus for Miss Anastasiadou was mainly a worrying time for her , and most of us . As we are coming into winter in Scotland , she is missing the lovely weather in Greece ! Marr College is very pleased to have you , Miss Anastasiadou !
