 |
Darley – raised £ 788 for( Women ' s Aid) |
Altogether the total amount of money donated to charity was £ 2279. We walked 5K around Troon. We do this every year because we think that it’ s a good way to raise money for Charites in Troon and to support the local community, we have done this many times to show Marr collages support towards Businesses within Troon. All students had to walk a 5k around Troon.( Some even ran it!). I asked some pupils about the walk and these were their responses
‘ A great way to get exercise and raise money for charity’ – Chloe G, S3‘ It’ s a good way to support businesses and to connect with other people and nature’ – Isla A, S3 Overall, it’ s a great way to raise money and get the pupils out of class for a bit of exercise. We look forward to doing this again.

Our annual sponsored walk was a great success and our young people were a credit to us when out in the community.
The event was very well led and organised by Mrs McCallum and the S6 Leadership group and thank you to everyone who was out walking, manning stations and doing crossing patrols! Back in 2021 we first used Just Giving to raise funds for our‘ Walk to Malawi’, and since then we have raised £ 21,081 for many local and national charities through Just Giving donations.
Well done everyone- an amazing milestone we should all be very proud of.
National Handball Finals
Written by Mr Bryden
The S2 / 3 Girls finished second at the National Handball finals at Ravenscraig. They won 5 of their 6 groups games and narrowly lost 4-3 in the final to a very strong and much more experienced Kelvinside team, who had beaten Marr 6-1 in the group games.
