U15 Girls Football Tournament
Written by Evelyn Mooney and Travis Baillie On Tuesday 5 th December , the sports leadership class organised and held an U15 girls football tournament in to promote girls ’ football in Ayrshire ! Five different schools including Marr , Prestwick , Largs , Irvine Royal and Robert Burns played in a round robin tournament . The AstroTurf was split up into 3 different pitches . As a class we each had a role and took responsibility to either referee , record scores , keep track of the fixtures or coach the Marr S1-S3 Team . The event was a success and all of the visiting teams had a great day .
Senior Netball
Successful start to the netball season for the Senior netball team . The girls won their first game against Doon academy in December . Well done to Kitty Dearing for winning Player of the match . Netball training resumes in January for S1-S6 , Tuesday 3:40-4:40 , All new players welcome ! 😊
