Student Council
Some of our Student Council members met with Mr Lindsay this month to plan a whole school student consultation to identify improvement priorities for the group .
Our newly established Marr Youth Community Council had the opportunity to work with our Local Counsellor , Bob Pollock , to identify issues facing young people in the community and to explore potential projects to engage young people and help reduce anti-social behaviours .
The group will continue to meet monthly with various local councillors and work together to ensure young people have a say in improving their local area .
Hive Healthy Living !
Written by Mr Harris
Marr ’ s Hive group completed a four-week HNS Ayrshire Football Initiative . Coaches from Ayr United led the boys in football drills and small sided games before NHS Ayrshire delivered Healthy Living sessions .
The boys were a credit to themselves and Marr College only going down to the odd goal against their teachers and coaches .
