Dion- The Rock ' n ' Roll Philosopher
Dion- The Rock ' n ' Roll Philosopher
He ' s been a star forever- called a " genius singer, writer, musician, and healer " by Eric Clapton, the ageless Dion DiMucci has been part of our lives since " I Wonder Why " hit the charts in 1958.
With one foot in the Fifties and one in the future, Dion blended R & B with Doo-Wop and helped ring in the age of Rock and Roll, especially once he became a solo artist- " Runaround Sue," " Ruby Baby," and so many more.
A member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame since 1989, Dion sounds the same as he always did, and continues to tour and record at age 86. His latest collection features collaborations with Clapton, Joe Bonnamassa, Sonny Landreth, and Mark Knopfler.
Released along with his latest book with the same title, The Rock ' n ' Philosopher is top-shelf Dion and includes a new version of his classic hit " Abraham, Martin and John "- a much more intimate take he says is now his favorite.

The Bear has been a big supporter of singer-songwriter Joanne Shaw Taylor since her time with Dave Stewart ' s band D. U. P., right after the Eurythmics broke up. Her work with that group led to her solo career- her first disc, White Sugar, appeared in 2009. Since then, it ' s been disc after disc, tour after tour, worldwide. Her latest disc, Black & Gold, includes the amazing pseudo-country track, Grayer Shade of Blue, and several with her patented blues-rock high energy.
Throughout, her amazing virtuosity stands out- especially on " Love Lives Here "- heard on The Bear.
