December is Operation Santa Paws Month

Founded in 2001 by animal lover, Justin Rudd, Operation Santa Paws is a call to all animal lovers to donate blankets, treats, food, toys, supplies, and money for all our loyal furry friends housed in shelters and rescue centers around the country. Here are other ways to help lost and homeless dogs and cats all year round:
-- Simple Things You Can Do From Home To Help Area Pet Shelters--
• Share lost, found, and shelter dogs ' posts- it takes seconds, and it works.
• Follow your local rescue and lost & found pages- it boosts visibility.
• Keep an extra leash and crate handy to be ready to help a stray or lost pet, if needed.
• Offer to foster- just for a weekend- even 48 hours can save a life.
• Donate an item from a shelter ' s wishlist- every bit helps.
• Mention adoption to someone looking for a dog- you could save two lives.
• Join on online platform like Clawpurr as a Guardian Angel- step in temporarily during emergencies if a local pet ' s person can ' t make it home, or if a shelter is forced to consider euthanasia due to lack of space or resources.
