Charbonneau Arts year-end celebration and matching campaign

MCLAIN
As previously reported, our final Music Stage concert for 2025 will be our holiday gift to Charbonneau, with
the award-winning Vocal Summit performing on Dec. 14 at 3 p. m.
They are a family and community-based performing group focused on providing one of the Pacific Northwest’ s premier singing experiences. Under the musical direction of award-winning director Justin Miller, this group performs locally and also competes in regional and international competitions. They
recently represented the Pacific Northwest in an international competition in Denver. Charbonneau Arts is excited to bring this unique group to Charbonneau. There will be a no-host bar for this event, so please do not bring your own alcoholic beverages. Listen to a sample of their music at our website at www. charbonneauarts. org.
The event will be free of charge, with free tickets available at the Activity Center desk and at the door. The event will celebrate the season and serve as a part of our annual year-end Matching Donation Campaign. Donations of any size will be invited during the concert but not required. A generous donor has committed $ 2,000 to the campaign, which will be matched by the donations of Charbonneau Arts board members and members of the community. Please consider donating towards matching their commitment to the future success of the Charbonneau Arts Association in its efforts to support student arts. Each year this
Matching Donation Challenge is one of our major fundraising activities. Last year’ s appeal made it possible to contribute an additional $ 5,000 to the arts programs at Canby and Wilsonville High Schools, for a total of $ 10,000 to each school. Help us continue. Success with this year’ s Donation Challenge will make it possible to hopefully increase the amounts we can donate to local arts education programs.
Teachers say our grants allow them to“ dream big” for their students. Visual and performing arts are often among the first areas in school budgets to be cut. With funding increasingly tight, Charbonneau’ s donations to the schools have allowed for the purchase of new potting wheels, kilns, exhibit display panels, art supplies for their classes, entry fees for scholastic art competitions, museum admissions and field trips and much more.
Go to culturaltrust. org to find out about extra tax credits from donations to the arts. CAA’ s Tax ID is 47-4653404. Also, many donors arrange
the tax-free donation directly from their retirement accounts( 401-K, IRA). It’ s a definite win-win for the donor and the CAA program that helps the kids.
Charbonneau Arts Association is an all-volunteer organization. Except for administrative and event costs, all donations and event proceeds go directly to support public school arts education. Our mission is to provide a venue for the appreciation and promotion of the arts, and create the opportunity for local public high school students to exhibit and demonstrate their art. As a 501( c)( 3) non-profit organization, all proceeds from our events benefit the arts programs at Wilsonville and Canby High Schools. Donor information is not shared with or sold to any outside organization. Federal ID # 47-4653404. Checks can be mailed to Charbonneau Arts Association, PO Box 1313, Wilsonville, OR, 97070.
Thank you for your support. We wish you all the best for a wonderful holiday season.
