The State of New Hampshire , Fish and Game Department has a full time vacancy for a Public Works Project Manager ..
Summary : To oversee , plan , and evaluate the design , coordination , and supervision of construction for public works statewide projects . To provide professional engineering and architectural expertise for such projects as well as such expertise for ongoing maintenance projects .
Responsibilities : Supervises the Department ' s Public Works programs to include development of long-range scheduled maintenance needs and capital improvements . Prepares budget plans , monitors cost estimates , and reviews annual operational construction and maintenance plans . Provides professional technical review , design , improvement planning , and preparation of public works projects for 140 boat ramps , 130 dams , and 160 Department buildings .
Serves as Project Manager for all construction relative to public works . Supervises the inspection of completed public works projects to ensure compliance with specifications and coordinates development , design , and construction of public works projects with staff from other divisions , chiefs , and commissioners .
Develops work methods and oversees the scope of work and preparation of engineering plans , specifications , bid and contract documents , and cost estimates . Properly solicits vendors or contractors , analyzes and verifies submitted bids , awards and oversees contracts . Identifies scope of professional services , solicits statements of qualifications , selects engineers and other professionals
