Hello and welcome to the December issue of Soltalk .
This time last year we had recently heard that there might be some vaccines for Covid-19 coming soon . And sure enough as I write this today , large percentages of the Spanish and UK populations have been double jabbed with some now having also had boosters ! Things do seem to be a lot more “ normal ” these days but as someone said on TV yesterday , Covid-19 is just something we will be living with for a very long time to come .
So in the meantime let ’ s just enjoy Christmas and the New Year and of course you will find plenty of places to eat , drink and find the perfect gift for your loved ones in the following pages . Also see details of a traditional Carol Service on page 28 .
Of course the true spirit of Christmas is the act of giving and for a lovely way to do that see the Nerjamar charity page on page 35 , you are invited to give non-perishable food items and toys to two very worthy charities . Or for animal lovers why not consider adopting or fostering a dog or cat ? See CAS News on page 44 .
