University Gastroenterology is a twenty-five member single specialty group providing patient-centered care for diseases of the liver and gastrointestinal tract . Our doctors are regionally recognized for their expertise in general gastroenterology , inflammatory bowel disease , liver disease and therapeutic endoscopy . By using a team-based approach , our Centers of Excellence in Liver , Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Advanced Endoscopy conduct groundbreaking research , offer clinical trials and specialized treatments .
With major campuses in Providence , East Greenwich and Portsmouth , UGI offers convenient locations throughout the area , ensuring patients have access to immediate , professional , quality care close to home . Each location houses a state-of-the-art ambulatory Endoscopy Center that provides a caring and cost-effective environment . Our group also provides inpatient consultative services at Rhode Island Hospital , Miriam Hospital , Kent County Hospital , Newport Hospital , and Roger Williams Hospital .
