GOLF & GREENS COMMITTEE
Please see below a summary of the November Golf Committee meeting :
• Cliff Easum , General Manager , noted that plans are being made to incorporate a minimum of one major golf event each month for 2022 . Some of these events have been scheduled . This information will be published as soon as finalized and included on the calendar of events .
• Rick Werner suggested that we have a one day member-guest sometime in the Spring . This would be designed to introduce more local non-members to the club and encourage membership . Based on the success of the recent one day membermember , it was agreed that this would be a good addition to our other tournaments .
• After more discussion , it was the consensus of the committee that both increasing our rates and limiting the number of plays may be counterproductive to our revenue stream . The proposed rate increases may be the most effective way to curb nonmember locals from abusing our open play policy . The new rates will need to provide incentive for non-members to join the club and / or limit play .
• As a further enhancement of membership value , it is proposed that non-member play is restricted to after 10:00 AM on weekends .
• Golf Simulator Status - The committee is exploring the potential for short term rental of a golf simulator . Cliff is working through Indigo to research costs .
Due to busy schedules during the Holidays , we are not planning to meet in December . Happy Holidays and thanks for your continued support of our club . We look forward to a great 2022 at LGCC .
