AROUND THE POOL
Thank you to everyone who provided feedback , suggestions , and encouragement in support of the pool experience this past summer . We made great strides in facilities improvements and look forward to the opportunity to build on this momentum in 2022 . Plans are underway for major changes to the pool experience to focus on food and beverage , social engagement , and families . Based on the feedback we heard from the membership , the budget for 2022 includes hiring a Pool Activities Director to help coordinate pool staff and support the initiatives currently in progress : 1 . Expand Food and Beverage at the “ Pool Gate ”: We are looking into new “ grab and go ” snacks and food options exclusively available at the pool , in addition to the Tri-Brook offerings . Golfers can even stop by on the turn for a good snack or cooler refill .
A sales register at the pool gate will help process Tri-Brook orders more quickly . We will expand beer and wine options as well as add a limited cocktail menu . Think slushy machine for kids and margarita machine for adults ….
2 . Extend Pool Hours : Weather permitting , the pool will open for swim-at-your-own risk
in mid-May and remain open through mid- October . During the season the pool will be open 7 days a week with dedicated hours for lap swim .
3 . Improved programming : We are looking into improvements for “ Rubber Ducky Night ”, as well as hosting regular “ Dive-In ” Movie nights . Other ideas include Sunday grill-by-the pool , and live music , in coordination with the Major Events committee .
4 . Explore Summer Camp : From both a financial and experiential standpoint , there is opportunity for an LGCC summer camp to get the community involved in youth golf , tennis , pool , and other activities . The Board is exploring staffing needs and camp viability during the off-season with the hopes of a solidified program available for registration in February . Stay tuned !
Please continue to share your ideas . We are already looking forward to Summer 2022 and will continue to build and improve the member experience at the pool !
