What did you do musically through lockdown ? Did you release new music ?
We started work on many new songs ( about 5-6 ), picked up a few that were worked upon earlier as well , and released the lockdown version of Vapourize .
Challenges you faced when recording your songs / making new music
Frankly not too much really , just that we missed the old traditional way of working , of being in the same room sharing ideas , sharing that energy of composing together over chilled beers !
How do you think the music scene can recover from the pandemic hit ?
Well frankly it will take time , this thing is not going anywhere soon . The best option for the musicians is to multitask in related fields like jingles , online classes etc etc . Basically reduce expenses , stay above the water . Hopefully by next season physical shows should return , this year also few shows happened but those were mainly the wedding circuit ; there were hardly any corporate / festivals / college / public / pub gigs etc . and that ' s a huge hit to the industry but as Zeppelin said " Good Times Bad Times "...
What can we look forward to from you now ?
Parikrama turns 30 in June 2021 , so planning things for that too !
What did you do musically through lockdown ? Did you release new music ?
We released an album , our 4th , on the 1st of august 2020 . Besides that , we played a number of Live Streams from our facebook page .
What would be your advice to the young musicians who ’ ve emerged during the pandemic situation ? .
Don ’ t lose hope . Now is the time to hone your craft and get better at what you do . We don ’ t believe in ‘ fast food ’ music … take time to become better songwriters and musicians . Listen to music from the 60 ’ s , 70 ’ s and 80 ’ s … you will be inspired .
How do you think the music scene can recover from the pandemic hit ?
Depends on how soon live gigs will be permitted . Musicians thrive on playing live … at least some of us do .
What can we look forward to from you now ?
New music … we ’ re in the midst of recording a new album … but it ’ s a secret for now .
Besides that , we ’ re hoping the ban on live music is lifted soon … it all depends on how responsible people are . WEAR THAT MASK . WASH HANDS . SOCIALLY DISTANCE YOURSELF ! The sooner people follow these 3 simple rules , the sooner we can fight the disease and help get things back to normal !
