ROHAN SOLOMON

What did you do musically through lockdown ? Did you release new music ?
The lockdown was actually really good for me musically . It allowed me to explore ways to produce new songs with limited resources . I have released 3 songs in this period .
The first song ‘ Keep Holding On ’ is actually about the quarantine life and how so many people all over the world were / are in the same boat . The next one called “ Victoria ’ s Secret ” sort of took the story ahead from the initial stages of anxiety and fear to introspection . The latest song is called ‘ Without a Trace ’. In this song , I talk about my own personal insecurities and shed some light on the emotions of feeling alone and feeling like I haven ’ t achieved much in life . But there ’ s a sense of positivity as well , as I mention to always look for your own guiding star ( aka passion / conviction ) and follow it .
Challenges you faced when recording your songs / making new music
There definitely were some challenges . Not having access to amazing microphones and some great analog gear that I would usually find at good studios . But I made the most of the situation .
How do you think the music scene can recover from the pandemic hit ?
Slowly and steadily with pragmatism and positivity we will move ahead . The live music scene got hit the hardest . But people are adapting . Since the lockdown , so many artists are releasing new music on all the streaming platforms . That ’ s a great way to connect with your fans . Do online shows . The idea is to keep moving forward and keep putting out content that people can connect with .
What can we look forward to from you now ?
Well , I am currently up in the mountains constantly writing new music . I definitely have some new songs that are in the writing phase , some are actually in the production / recording phase as well . So , the train is moving pretty fast and you can definitely expect new music from me .
