Legal Aid Virtual Fundraiser Lawyers on the Front Lines : Caring for Palm Beach County during the COVID Crisis

On Saturday evening , October 17 , 2020 , the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County held a virtual fundraiser , Lawyers on the Front Lines : Caring for Palm Beach County during the COVID Crisis at the West Palm Brewery and Wine Vault . With only a small staff and crew the event was viewed on Facebook and YouTube .
The evening , which raised over $ 240,000 to provide free civil legal services to those individuals and families in Palm Beach County facing eviction , mortgage foreclosure , domestic violence and unemployment as a result of the COVID 19 pandemic , was hosted by Michelle Suskauer and Gary Lesser .
The Premier Sponsors were Peggy and Richard Greenfield , Legal Graphicworks and Searcy , Denney , Scarola , Barnhart & Shipley . Signature Sponsors were Gunster , Keen Law Group and Scott Smith Injury Law . Jack Scarola emceed a “ Call to the Heart ” and attorneys Blake Hanley , Carl Spagnuolo , and Patti Velasquez provided the entertainment .
The event was generously produced by Legal Graphicworks along with Legal Aid staff members Harreen Bertisch , Kim Enright , Michelle Gale , and Ben Willis .
