GREEN RIDGE BAPTIST TREE SALE Saturday, we visited the Green Ridge Baptist Church in Lennoxville to attend their Christmas Tree sale to benefit the Corner Stone Food Bank in Lennoxville. We were told that, this year, someone donated a substantial amount of money to them to buy Christmas trees. Green Ridge bought the trees and sold them for $ 25 each to benefit the Cornerstone Food Bank in Lennoxville. Money is given to the Food Bank to help the less fortunate through the holiday season and beyond.
When we arrived, we found four hard-working fellows tying trees to the top of cars and loading up vans – Andre Masse, Gary Aiken, Mark Aiken and Green Ridge Pastor Marc Potvin were braving the snow to help the community. This event went on two Saturdays in a row. We later found out that $ 1,135 was raised, with all funds given to the Cornerstone Food Bank.

A VISIT TO FERME HORTI-PLUS While out and about this weekend, we stopped in at Ferme Horti-Plus out on Rte. 112 near Ascot Corner, Que. This is a very special place owned and operated by the Hamel family from Eaton Corner, Que.
We arrived to find Amanda Hamel, Peter Kingsley and Bernadine Hamel ready to give us a big smile. Christmas Trees were for sale out front, along with wreaths, candy canes and other Christmas items. People can also hop into a trailer and be taken up into the plantation to choose their very own tree.
