A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT
Hello PYS Families,
Happy December (where did this year go...no one knows)! First, HUGE congratulations to our football
teams that were in the playoffs and extra congrats to our 6th grade team for winning the Carnation Bowl!!!
These boys worked so hard this year, and we are beyond proud of what they accomplished. Way to
represent PYS and Englewood. Second, as you will see below registration for our spring sports opens
today...woohoo!!! Yes, I realize we just started winter sports, however, we open sports 2 – 3 months prior
to the start of the season for two reasons: 1) so you have time to pay, set up a payment plan, or apply for a
scholarship; 2) so we can plan for the upcoming seasons. PLEASE register early and take advantage of
payment options/scholarships if you need them. We incur costs before the season starts, we have to order
jerseys about a month before the season, and we have to make sure we have enough coaches in place.
Which means we can't let people register at the last possible second; we have to work together to plan
ahead. We thank you for your understanding on this and look forward to you participating in our spring
sports. Have a wonderful December and I hope you enjoy the holidays!

Football
Congratulations to our five football teams for making
playoffs this season and to the PYS 6th Grade Football
team for winning the Carnation Bowl Championship!
SPORT HIGHLIGHTS - WINTER
Cheer
Registration for Cheer Camp closes today, December 1. Registration can be accessed on our website.
For boys and girls ages 3 – 14
Fee: $25.00 includes registration fee and shirt; all other Cheer camps are free for this winter season
The Cheer Camp will take place between December 8 – 17
All Cheer camp participants will cheer at a game on December 19
Basketball
Recreation Basketball
Practice starts the week of November 30 and is held at Englewood elementary schools
The first game is on December 12 and will be held on Saturdays at The Englewood Campus (TEC). No
games during Christmas break.
