Motul expert delivers slick presentation
Motul lived up to the promise it made
last year to commence technical
training workshops for its distributors,
wholesalers, technician’s and members
of the motoring media when its technical
guru, Chitprasong Prasit, jetted into the
country to talk about all things motor oil
in mid-November.
Prasit is a former Renault engine
designer and is well versed in the
business - and science - of motor
oil and lubrication technology and
development.
Prasit reminded us that many OEM’s
have their own oil performance
standards, which can vary from brand to
brand.

In what was an enlightening
presentation, held at Kia South Africa’s
Parts Distribution Centre in Germiston,
Johannesburg, gathered guests
learnt about lubrication and motor oil
standards, the key differences between
mineral oils and synthetics oils, and
the different oil requirements and
specifications of manufacturers and
countries of the world.
