Tyre Fitment
Pioneers
The old saying that you can identify pioneers
by the arrows in their backs originated from
the American West in the 1800’s when the
first trekkers into uncharted territory were
attacked by the local inhabitants. Today it
has a different interpretation, in that firstmover advantage sometimes has the risk
Tyre Fitment Pioneers
of running into unseen obstacles.
T
hose arrows can be deflected
by doing your homework, and
that is the case of the new
Greenfield Supa Quick Life Style Centre
at the corner of Lenchen Avenue &
Clarinet Street, Centurion, Gauteng.
The directors of the Torque Fitment
Group (Pty) Ltd ventured into the tyre
business just over three years ago, with
the intention of, in the words of head
honcho Hedley Judd, “not accepting the
status quo, not believing in unshiftable
paradigms, and thinking outside of the
box”. And clichés aside, these thoughts
were the seeds of the new lifestyle
centre, as when the opportunity arose,
the Torque Fitment Group seized the
moment, and decided to redefine the
ground rules.
