This work required a deep understanding of metrics like RevPar, Occupancy, and detailed financials( P & L, COS, EBITDA) to determine the true business asset and ROI( Cap Rate- yields)

Mike’ s nature as an action-oriented leader and proactive executor is best showcased in his entrepreneurial roles. Throughout his property career, he was consistently looking for smarter ways to achieve results. This drive culminated in the founding of Sentinel Property Group in 2017. Mike developed an innovative business model focusing on tailor-made disposal solutions for large commercial property owners. This was not a traditional brokerage; the solution used a custom-built algorithm to track top-performing brokers and auction companies.
This process perfectly embodied his belief in collaboration, as he built deep relationships and set up reciprocal agreements with various real estate companies, ensuring the best individual specialist within the network was selected to execute each specific mandate.
Since its inception, Sentinel has been responsible for the disposal of hundreds of millions of rand of fixed assets. Mike’ s work in the commercial sector has been extensive, including sales for major Funds and REIT’ s. This involved disposing of significant assets, such as retail properties, Industrial Parks, Investment, and Commercial properties, and handling corporate property disposals for major banks, financial institutions, and insurance companies. Additionally, his experience includes leading and building teams, where the implementation of smarter systems helped him triple sales and drive team growth.
