You could travel around the world and never see more
spectacular beaches. Wide and welcoming, they are
shell-covered and stretch for miles. And no matter the
season, they never seem crowded. But the ocean is only
the beginning. All around you are are freshwater lagoons
and ponds, meandering tidal creeks, acres of golden
marshlands, fish-filled channels and lush maritime
forests. In fact, DeBordieu is surrounded by undisturbed
forests and wildlife preserves, including 600 acres given
to Clemson University for the study and protection of this
unique habitat. And within Debordieu, less than half
of its 2,700 acres are zoned for homesites and villas. So
it’s never a surprise to catch all sorts of wildlife roaming
freely throughout the community.
