Future Enquiries, Disputes and Appeals
Changes in Circumstances
After your pension comes into payment, you may change your address or want
to change your banking arrangements. If you do you can amend your details:
• By writing to us with details of the changes.
• Online, if you have registered with mypension (see Section 11 on page 12
for more details).
• Over the telephone, if you have registered for the Pension Password Service
(PPS). To register for the PPS or amend your password, complete Section 8
of the Beneficiary’s Form.
Please remember to quote your pension number or National Insurance number
when you contact us and try to give us at least three weeks’ notice.
Disputes and Appeals
Appeals against any decisions made by SYPA in calculating the Dependants’
Benefits and/or Death Grant should be made in writing within 6 months of that
decision.

It is, however, always best to try to resolve
the matter informally either by contacting
SYPA if the dispute is against us, or the
deceased member’s former employer if it
is against them.
