TELL US SOMETHING ABOUT THIS PROJECT ? WHAT WAS THE CONCEPT BEHIND ITS DESIGN
INCEPTION ?
RAKESH & NISHALI : “ THE
URBAN PALATIAL APARTMENT " is located in Pune , Maharashtra , India . The design is a story of a young family of Karanjkar ’ s .
A story , about a sensitive space to accommodate the needs and emotions of the people . This 1600 sqft apartment is located in the south eastern outskirts of the bustling city of Pune . We strive to create , for our Client ; a lifestyle with more simplicity and calmness .
Our emphasis is on “ decluttering ” - perhaps since we are so driven to the concept of “ less is more ” and this design is a representation of that concept . This design strives to create an ample balanced living space and to fill them with a sense of place . A space that seeks to be young and conscious , for a generation that values art ; but also seeks usability and functionality of everyday life .

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE DESIGN ELEMENT ASSOCIATED WITH THIS PROJECT ?
RAKESH & NISHALI : We take holistic approach to planning , architecture , interior design and landscape . This connects people with ideas , creating next generation environments . Inspiring interactive built and unbuilt spaces . In this apartment , Spacious living with open kitchen and dining area is the most interesting element of the project , which brings the soul of an energetic space .
To accentuate the energy of this space , an accent wall of unpainted composite panels was created . These composite panels binds the whole space together with ultra clean crisp lines , a simple and monochrome palette and the use of materials that included mirror , composite panels and veneered wood accentuate the openness of that living space making it more ostentatious .
