The " Shakti Bungalow " at Vasana Road , Vadodara , Gujarat is one of the elite projects by Design Studio Associates led by principal architect Ruchir Sheth .
“ The owners envisaged it to be a lavish bungalow on Rajasthani royal heritage theme , from upholstery to architecture , everything has been articulated to meet their needs in the exact same way .” says Ruchir .

AD : In few words , how would you define your design process – philosophy at DSA ?
RUCHIR : Design is about creating elegant solutions to address user needs . The tricky thing is that most often we are designing for variety of different types of personalities . People ’ s expectations and desires evolve over time . Sometimes design evolves to meet these changes , sometimes design is the driver of the change . Regardless , a designer ’ s work is never done . This does not mean that design needs to be trendy , design can be timeless , but a great designer has a bent toward iteration and always has their ear to the ground
AD : A juxtaposed abode of subtle royal elegance ; your latest Residential project - the Shakti Bungalow . Tell us something about the design process for this residence .
RUCHIR : The USP of this project is the outer elevation is a mimic of the existing elevation and the three things that make the house exquisite is the royal blue and white colors , checkered designs and post top lanterns which are extended throughout and can be seen in the décor and furnishing .
