AD : YOUR LATEST PROJECT – THIS WHIMSICAL HQ IN ABU DHABI FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD AUTHORITY LOOKS ONE OF A KIND WITH ITS INTERESTING PLAYFUL CONCEPT .
TELL US SOMETHING MORE ABOUT IT ’ S INCEPTION .
PALLAVI : We were chosen by Abu Dhabi ’ s Early Childhood Authority to imagine its new headquarters – the challenge was to design a space that captures attention with the playful nature of childhood , while at the same time being a mature office .
The Early Childhood Authority office called for Curiosity , Collaboration , and Coordination . Alongside the 3C ’ s , the design of the space was to be reminiscent of tradition and in context with its surrounding area . To address these requirements , the space is designed in a way that encourages users to explore , collaborate and move through multiple zones . In addition , the space planning of the office uses organic forms and primary core space which lend the office a unique character .
