TELL US SOMETHING ABOUT THIS PROJECT ? WHAT WAS THE CONCEPT
BEHIND ITS DESIGN INCEPTION ?
DHAARA : “ ORCHID DIVINE " is a 900 sq . ft . apartment in Ahmedabad , Gujarat , India .
Our young clients wanted the house to give out those youthful vibes . So , differing from the usual browns and ivory ’ s in current trend , we added tints / tones of blue , medium greys to lit up the space .
Introducing shades of such colours makes the space look similar yet different , as different tones make each space look defined . Considering smaller carpet area and bigger requirements , we wanted it to look spacious and distinct . Usage of brass fixtures with contrast coloured furniture , enhances the luxurious look . A little bit of wood has been added to guest and kid ’ s bedroom to break the monotony and keep up with the choices as per respective ages .
The whole residence is bridging through the shades of blue and with the constant of grey and white . The black colour and wooden tones kind of individualises the spaces as a whole but still maintains the design language making it look like one .
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE DESIGN ELEMENT ASSOCIATED WITH THIS PROJECT ?
DHAARA : When it comes to experimenting with materials , we loved how these 2 things which we truly adore in this entire project , turned out this glamorous . We fell in love with the differently designed partition within the wall puncture behind sofa . It grabs your attention with the shaded thread in contrast with the blue glass to form a semi-open partition .
This whole thing in turn functions as a background to the wall clock which is made to hang in front of it , forming a different detail altogether . Latter is the casted terrazzo centre table . It has been an eye-catcher since beginning where we made 2 materials like casted terrazzo and metal ( in the form of its legs ) come together to form a gorgeous centre table .
