INCEPTION ?
VIDITA & KRISHNA : “ SURAMYA 303 " is a residence in
Surat , Gujarat , India .
The people in the space or the view from the window are more important to us while designing the interiors . Minimalism allows something other than the space to be the focus . The clients have extremely active lives and need their home to be restful . We have all the items in a space for it to function but still one can experience the clear , uncluttered spaces .
All of the furniture was purposeful — sofas to comfortably sit in , wall to hang a tv , zoola to swing . The art on the wall is simple in composition . The palate is monochromatic and colors are used as an accent leaving the rooms draughty and bright .
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE DESIGN ELEMENT ASSOCIATED WITH THIS PROJECT ?
VIDITA & KRISHNA : The tv wall partition that very effectively hides the huge size of the column falling in between the living room . It was also the start point of the design when we decided to merge the two apartments .
