Mrs. Ofra Meitar, Mr. Aviad Meitar and TAU Law Dean Prof. Sharon Hannes
pursue a PhD was not a simple one. “But
as I soon found out, the studies expanded
my world and added countless points of
view, as well as a demanding academic
path which inspired, among other things,
a change to my fixed thinking patterns
and a challenge to my often restricted
worldview as an attorney. Zvi Meitar’s
generous scholarship allowed me, for the
first time in my life, to focus on research.
The Center afforded all of us with the
exact combination we needed: a warm
and protective academic home that
allowed us to raise a variety of questions,
and a platform for discussion in a safe and
empowering environment.”
Internationally renowned for its leadership
in legal studies, the Zvi Meitar Center for
Advanced Legal Studies is home to the
country’s future legal scholars and experts.
Since its establishment in 2007, the Center
has had a direct and profound impact on
the legal education in Israel. Encompassing
a meticulously designed curriculum with
an international focus, the Center attracts
excellent scholars and professors from
around the world. Serving as a hotbed of
innovative and interdisciplinary research,
the Center goes beyond the scope of
current methodologies and disciplines
into previously unexplored fields of study.
It fosters a high quality, cutting edge
research output which supports learning,
teaching, and enables the transfer of
knowledge in a variety of legal fields.
Dr. Nomi Levenkron
TAU Law congratulates its graduates and

the world of research and teaching in
academia, as well as leadership positions
in government, social organizations, and
private practice. •
