We shouldn’t try to make everybody similar. We love differences. the costs. Student life InnBetween also refers to the time of life students find themselves: in between home and career. Student life is at the same time relaxed, taking life as it comes and also very much focused on the future: it’s all about gathering in new knowledge and skills for a future career. A unique time of life, with lots of freedom, and also new responsibilities and many choices to make. We hope to be a place where students feel they can share their stories, and also their difficulties in dealing with both freedom, choices and the future. Connecting worlds InnBetween refers to the spiritual heart of the chaplaincy. We aim at being a bridge, a meeting point a connection between different worlds. It is great to try to bring different worlds together. Worlds that sometimes may seem totally different: PHOTOGRAPHY BY BING MAPS EDITED BY THOMAS HOEKSTRA secular and spiritual, the worlds of science and religion, things you can calculate, measure on the one hand, and things unseen, unexpected, hoped for on the other hand. Connection people InnBetween refers to bringing the worlds of very different students together: the student body of Maastricht University is very diverse. We shouldn’t try to make everybody similar. We love differences. But we know that it takes a lot of energy to have a true and meaningful conversation between different people from different backgrounds. In these conversations we want to invest. We hope to be a place where students feel they can share their stories. .................................................................................................................................................................................................... 27
