CDARS has developed a practical training programme for professionals who want to develop skills and build confidence in working with neurodivergent individuals in treatment or recovery for substance and / or alcohol misuse. LEARN HOW TO
• Understand neurodiversity( autism, ADHD, learning & sensory differences).
• Recognise how neurodivergence impacts engagement, retention and outcomes in the treatment of drug and / or alcohol misuse.
• How to best adapt communication styles and engagement strategies to improve rapport, comprehension, and retention.
• Reflect on developing individualised treatment plans.
• Reflect on biases, strengths, and personal development plans to work effectively with neurodivergent groups.
