TRANSFORMING PRACTICE...

ACCREDITED GROUP SUPERVISION TRAINING FOR THE DRUG AND ALCOHOL WORKFORCE
Effective supervision is central to high quality care. Recent frameworks highlight its importance in supporting practitioners and improving outcomes.
Working in drug and alcohol treatment is both rewarding and demanding. Staff manage complex situations and need space to reflect, recharge and strengthen their skills. Group supervision gives practitioners the opportunity to learn together, supported by a trained supervisor and a structured model.
The Forward Trust has developed the PREPARE & PRACTICE © reflective group supervision model, now accredited by Addiction Professionals. It offers organisations a clear and cost effective approach to embedding group supervision.
PREPARE sets expectations around preparation, clarity, respect and psychological safety; PRACTICE supports the journey of group supervision, encouraging sharing, reflection, planning and action.
This course provides learning and support in an area that is currently not well provided for: support for those providing group supervision in the drug and alcohol sector. The PREPARE & PRACTICE © model identifies a range of issues and methods to support those who provide group supervision within their workplaces, from theory through to practice.
