APPLY FOR A PHD STUDENTSHIP OR FELLOWSHIP
The Addiction Healthcare Goals flagship research leadership programme is a major new initiative funded by the UK Government’ s Office for Life Sciences and delivered by the Society for the Study of Addiction. The programme will provide financial support to researchers at key stages of their career development.
PhD studentships include:
• A stipend of £ 20,780pa(£ 22,780 with London weighting)
• Up to £ 5,006pa towards tuition fees
• Up to £ 5,000 across the PhD for research and training costs
Fellowships include:
• A salary, typically ranging from £ 35,000 to £ 50,000
• Up to £ 30,000 across the fellowship for research and training costs
We are also offering clinical PhDs and clinical fellowships for people who work in registered professions, such as nurses, midwives, pharmacists, doctors, and dentists. You can continue with clinical work for up to 20 % of your PhD or fellowship, and apply for funding to cover your full salary costs.
To be eligible for the programme, applicants should demon strate that their research will have an impact on addiction treatment, recovery, or reduction of addiction-related harms in the areas of alcohol or illicit drugs.
