A Not So New Normal : Our Response to COVID-19
The COVID-19 public health emergency initiated an unimaginable series of change across the globe . The uncertainty caused by the outbreak of COVID-19 caused institutions all over the world to modify their operations . The resulting confusion could have been detrimental to our mission of protecting Georgia ’ s communities while also keeping employees safe . Many ‘ new normals ’ were created for agencies and organizations trying to ensure services could still be delivered in a digital environment . For DCS , this was a not so ‘ new normal ’ given that change is at the core of our mission and technological innovation is at the heart of our vision .
