2bm and Iceotope have announced a strategic partnership to offer efficient and flexible data centres to react to ever growing technologies and new market demands .

KAO Data Camwpus secures £ 33m in fund raising round

KAO Data Campus , the new state-of-the-art science and technology data centre campus located on the London-Stansted-Cambridge corridor has announced that it has raised £ 33m through a funding facility led by Downing LLP and managed by Goldacre Ventures .
This is the second round of funding and takes the total amount of debt and equity raised to £ 68m . It will also be the final round before KAO Data London One ’ s development is complete . The equity has been raised from existing investors and represents a significant milestone in the development of one of the UK ’ s largest data centre campuses .
KAO Data London One is now fully funded and will be the first ( of a final four ) data centre building ( s ) to be completed . Each data centre will support a critical technology load of 8.7MW
Matrix Networks is delivering the UKPN adoptable 33kV / 11kV 43.5MVA substation providing capacity to support the whole campus . The substation is due for completion April 2017 , with practical completion for the first data centre scheduled for the end of 2017 .

Interoute speeds up data transfer on three continents for global syrup company

Interoute has announced that it has been selected by Monin to connect a brand new factory in Jiaxing , China , with Monin ’ s headquarters in Bourges , France . A further Monin factory in Kuala Lumpur , Malaysia , is also set to be connected up in March 2017 . Interoute will also host the company ’ s e-commerce web site and company data in Interoute Virtual Data Centres ( VDC ) in Hong Kong and Singapore .
Interoute will provide Monin with a high capacity MPLS network to manage the transfer of its business data . The network will allow Monin to share industrial information and order planning between its headquarters and the new Chinese plant at a latency of less than 200ms , a requirement for the company ’ s business processes to function .
Interoute will enable a reliable and secure data exchange , synchronisation and rapid provisioning of files for business functions such as R & D and marketing for Monin around the world . Interoute ’ s global network and virtual data centres will also enable cross-site archiving to ensure secure back ups .

BJSS delivers Sporting Life ’ s next generation online experience

BJSS has delivered an end-to-end digital replacement to Sporting Life , a subsidiary of Sky Betting & Gaming .
BJSS worked closely with Sporting Life to understand its existing technology estate and strategic requirements . This resulted in Sporting Life ’ s legacy online service , which was first introduced in 1996 , being completely reengineered .
Delivered with the BJSS Enterprise Agile approach and using Open Source technologies , BJSS developed and replaced the Sporting Life online platform and built a complementary set of enterprise grade iOS and Android mobile applications . The digital replacement also included significant back end development with a bespoke Content Management System that enables rapidly changing content to be quickly published .
The entire service was migrated to the public cloud , providing the flexibility required to accommodate spikes in demand seen during popular sporting events .
The initial iteration of the new Sporting Life website was delivered in February 2017 , ahead of the Cheltenham Festival , one of the biggest highlights of the horseracing calendar .
