DCIS Final Swimming Galas a Huge Splash
A busy, enjoyable week of swimming galas for DCIS students and parents
The Nursery children delighted everyone
with their swimming and smiles despite
a wet and rainy Tuesday morning. The
remaining Lower Primary students proved
just as enthusiastic in their races. The vast
majority of pupils completed a full length of
the pool on their front and/or back. Finally,
all swimmers collected one, two or three
sinkers from the bottom of the pool.

Congratulations to the winning classes; 3VS,
4JM, 5EC and 6SB but a huge well done to
each and every competitor.
Finally, a big thank you to the secondary
students (and visitors Ella and Edward) for
their support and encouragement for all
the swimmers.
PE Department
Students in Years 3-6 competed and were
timed in three races each; backstroke,
breaststroke and freestyle. Some also swam
in the class relay. The cheering, the class
banners and the support from the stadium
spectators certainly encouraged everyone
to swim their very best. The atmosphere at
all the galas was exciting from start to finish!
