Upcoming Term 2 Highlights from

Ms Kara Lebihan

While Lower Primary is rehearsing for their Christmas productions we look forward to the end of term and accompanying festivities
Dear DCIS Parents and Guardians, Happy 2017- I hope you all had a lovely relaxing break!
Welcome back to all our returning families and an extra big welcome to our new families; I hope you will be very happy at Dover Court International School.
As ever, we have a busy term ahead with many events planned and much to look forward to. Some of this term’ s events include Chinese New Year, when your children will be invited to dress in Chinese style clothing or the colour red and UN Day, which will be a celebration of nationalities, cultures and national costumes. We can also look forward to Book Week and Sports Week this term- more information on all these events will of course follow. We have number of class trips this term, including Year 4’ s exciting, inaugural residential trip – we look forward to hearing more about that when the students return!
I am sure you will be pleased to know that our guided reading books have arrived. We will need a little time now to organise the resources and train the staff in their usage so we can be sure of a consistent whole school approach. We are looking forward to rolling out our reading programme this half term.
I am delighted to introduce a new member of staff to you – Mrs. Lynn Jones will be teaching Year 1 as Mrs. Gray takes a non-classed based Deputy Head role along with Mr. Rinaldi. Mrs. Jones is a welcome addition to the team and we are delighted to have her onboard.
As ever, please do not hesitate to ask if you have any questions or queries. Myself or a member of the Primary School Leadership Team will be delighted to help you.
Best regards,
Ms Kara Lebihan Head of Primary School
