The Field of Medicine, Doctors and Medical Research: Health solutions, questions about ethical practices and rogue invasions of the noble field. Kill a life to save another?

whose primary function is the filter of certain body substances in the bio-chemistry running of bodies of certain living things. Medically, it is known that the human body can effectively function on one of the two available kidneys. Hence, when someone's two kidneys are damaged, most times by some renal disease, a healthy person can donate one of his or her two functioning kidneys to be used in a medical transplant on the body of the sick person who would have lost both kidneys. This, in some countries, is defined to be both ethical and legal. In some countries, it is illegal, while in others debates are on-going before appropriate legislations are made.

But, medical research institutions requiring human body organs have sharply increased in the last few decades, much as the renal diseases that damage the kidneys too have increased, thus sharply increasing the demand for, say, kidneys. Because of the strict legislations against human organs trade in most countries (except for a few countries like India, Iran and some five to seven other countries which have legalised some or all aspects human organs trade), it is not common to be out in the markets trading human body parts and organs.

Thus, this has created some sort of black market where these organs, like the kidney, are illegally traded. Some people even sell one of their functioning kidneys because of excessive poverty. Some people may leave wills that at their demise, their kidneys may be sold for some charity. Yet, certain criminal gangs have come to invade the human body parts and organs black market. Certain of these criminal gangs may have formed a cell in Boko Haram.

Boko Haram, in Nigeria, is not the first host of this dangerous cell of black marketers. Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, MEND, the armed militant group in the Niger Delta area of Nigeria may have been hosting this cell for close to some two decades. This criminal cell has its network globally, and finds hosts in insurgencies such as Al-Shabab, ISIL, Boko Haram and even in some disorganised rebellions such as in Libya, Central African Republic, South Sudan, etc.

Oil (Dis)Business Too?

The politics of oil, too, has a palce in Boko Haram. All of Nigeria's oil going to the market today comes from the southern part of the country, most especially from the Niger-Delta area. Some politicians from the southern states of the country and also the militant MEND have, in the recent years, been campaigning for a 100%
