8:30 am: Breakfast at the resort.

10 am: Pick up from resort main reception in air conditioned mini van - can take 12 people.

WHAT TO BRING: Comfortable clothing, water, sunblock, sunglasses, money, camera, sarong/scarf for temple to cover shoulders

10:30: See Big Buddha and Wat Chalong.

INFO: Big Buddha is a massive statue 45 meters tall in Chalong. Often you see monks there. Enjoy the views, marvel at the seated Maravija Buddha statue and enjoy the scenery. The official name is Phra Phutta Ming Mongkol Akenakiri, shortened to Ming Mongkol Buddha. Built from donations, the beautiful statue is visible from many areas in the south.

INFO: Wat Chalong is the biggest of the 29 Buddhist temples in Phuket. Locals come to pray and tourists come to see the beautiful buildings and take photos.

Noon: Go to Phuket Old Town and see art galleries, Sino-style traditional buildings, wall art, cafes and shopping. Driver will drop you at Soi Rominee and you walk down that Soi, turn right at the end and follow the road all the way down to the Thai Hua Museum.

1:30 pm: Lunch at Raya Restaurant. Great Thai food in a beautifully restored traditional building. Can pre-order set menu or ala carte.

2:30 pm: Go to Khao Toh Sae Viewpoint and Monkey Hill.

INFO: Monkey Hill or Toh Sae Hill is the highest hill in Phuket Town and home to a bunch of cheeky, chattering monkeys. There is a viewing platform at the top of the hill where you can see the whole city.

At the bottom of the hill is a shrine devoted to three holy spirits; Toh Sae Dang, Toh Sae Dam and Toh Sae Kaow. Many people come here specifically to ask for lucky numbers for the lottery.

4 pm: Go back to Wyndham Grand to get ready for evening event.
