It has officially been 10 years since I was his roommate in college; since I have seen him develop from a hard working English major into an outstanding music artist, person, and father. He has been through many ups and downs but continues to strive to be an amazing person. He has a musical talent which has developed into a Godsent Masterpiece. From writing lyrics, producing, guitar perfection, and rapping/singing, he is like no other music artist out there! You can find him at http://www.justapuppet.com/. March is also the month of his birthday. Please join me in wishing him many more! Image of the Release Newsletter by: David L. McGowan HOW? Many days I sit around evaluating my life and the things that have occurred. I would say that throughout everything, there is beauty in processing the events and actions that take place day to day. It is like an art. For me, it is also like role play or modeling; but I guess that is just the Therapist in me. The reality is I feel I have the opportunity to become a better person each day that I actually look back and examine the things that have occurred. I think of what could have happened if I had done this or not done that. I always consider the consequences and well, rewards. I look at all of the possibilities and all of the opportunities. Time is an enemy to me. I never feel there is enough of it. Honestly, if I had more time, I could take on more of those possibilities and opportunities. Yet, what is time? We never know when something is going to happen so I continue to go through this self-evaluation on the unknown budget of time I have been allotted. I often try to pace myself and understand that time controls me and my actions. Still, time is my friend in the same breath. Without it, I don’t get this beauty within experiences; I don’t get this improving technique. How can I do the things I do? I revisit the actions I partake, because time is beautifully horrible. Acting So, I had the opportunity to experience acting first hand. I will be a Background Artist on the show “TURN” on the television station, AMC which will begin in April 2014. I will be on episode 7 and 8. These are only minimal roles, but this opportunity allowed me to appreciate the sweat, time, perfection, and all of the steps it takes to be someone you’re truly not. I enjoyed the lessons of direction, patience, and repetition. I will more and likely review other acting opportunities in the future. It was a different kind of experience, but it helped me to remind me of who I really am. “Who am I? I am Patience. I sit around and am able to tolerate. I am often the smartest and most hardworking. I wait, observe, and witness the worst conditions and yet react in the most sufficient way. Without me existing, the world would be running around getting into all kinds of pain. Who am I? I am Patience.” Inspiration When you realize your worth, you will realize your abilities. Never underestimate those abilities you have yet to discover. You may surprise yourself.
